This building is a four-room weatherboard cottage with kitchen and vestibule. Jarrah is used with originality. There is beaten copper work on pitch-boxes made by Joseph Furphy, copper overmantel and beaten copper door panels made by his daughter-in-law Mattie, which are based on W M Morris revival style. It is an exceptional example of craftsman's work early in the century.
