Local historical, social and aesthetic significance.
The Boyup Brook Masonic Hall is constructed of random rubble with a gabled corrugated iron roof. The original roof sheeting has been replaced. The building has been extended at one end with a brick structure which does not relate to the style of the original building. The Masons now use the brick extension and the original stone structure houses a folk museum representing the history of the Boyup Brook District.
