Significant as a surviving part and significant contributing element of the Bayley Street streetscape and precinct.
One of a modest pair of brick shops with stucco facades with balustraded parapets and piers and bolection mould edged panels. Vestiges of the ornamental timber verandah remain and the early shop fronts are nearly intact. The words Bride Cake House are painted on the parapet of the northern shop.
This shop together with its contemporaneous neighbour, represents part of the main period of development in Coolgardie and it remains in use for their intended purpose.
