The place has associations with the Manton who was an early settler in the Beenong area, with Eliotts who took up the properly after World War Two. It is representative of the period of settlement and the other farms of the period still remaining in the area.
The first owner of the farm was Arthur Manton who built the house, he also had a telephone which was connected to the railway phone. In 1947-48 Len Eliott purchased the property. The home is one of three early farms in the district which are still evidence. The other farms are Boultons and Miltons.
