Statement of Significance

The grave site is significant in that Mrs Breakell was one of the first white women to live in the district. She died soon after joining her husband on the farm. The burial was on the farm because there was no cemetery in the shire at that time, Her descendants still live on the property.

Physical Description

Enclosure consisting of four cement corner posts with ball tops, about 1.5 m high and 25cm square. The posts ar connected by panels of link mesh wire on steel pipes.
Headstone for Mrs Agnes Breakell who died on 4th November 1911, aged 48. The memorial was erected by relatives from Preston, England.
Mrs Breakell's sons, Frederick Breakell (1889-1974) and Harry (Brum) Breakell (1898-1974) are also buried here.
