The iste represents a means of communication no longer practid=sed.
The Bindi Nindi telephone exchange was operated by Kathleen & Doreen Brian during the 1920's, from a tin shed "store" at the rear of their house at Lot 3. Alf Borham owned the exchange building which also operated as a Wesfarmers Co-op Store and the post office. In 18the 1950's (30's?) the shop was built for Mr & Mrs Salmon and the post office and phone exchange relocated ot the exisitng Post Office /shop building.
