This well is significant of the typical wells that were built within this area to supply water to the settlers. This type os system is significant to the area suitable for economic conservation in providing a natural supply of water.
Elachbutting Rock is a spectacular rock within itslef and its similarity to wave Rock at Hyden with its natural formation of a wave in a natural setting in the North of the Shire. The well can be found to the rear of the rock and quite a distance between the well and the base of the granite rock. The well is circular and very deep. The water seeps in about a meter from the top through the rocks. Very little vegetation surrounds this well, it has been fenced off.
