Victorian single storey residence with feature gable, decorative timbering and finial and tri-paned timber framed sash windows. The hipped and gabled main roof is corrugated iron. Timber sash windows. Return verandah with turned timber posts. There is a skillion roofed lean-to area to the side. A recent extension of rendered and scored brick construction gives the appearance of ashlar stone. This extension also includes a low hipped metal roof.
Burnt out and derelict mudbrick, brick and stone outhouses are in very poor condition to the rear of the dwelling.
There are the remains of a stone dwelling close to the gated access which is derelict and show signs of some fire damage. The remnants of a fire place remains.

History

In 1899 A.N. Piesse purchased the farm and the following year became the Resident Magistrate in Toodyay. In 1902, when the Resident Magistrate post was abolished, he retired to develop his vineyards. In the late 1920's the farm was sold and converted into a guest house which was run by the Gadsdon family.
