Statement of Significance

The site has associations with war.

History

During World War Two fuel was stored in the natural bushland on the site. it was also stored just west of Ballidu town on location 1269 (Rannard's), and where the airfield is now located. The army patrolled and guarded the sites, and the civilian fuel supplies in Ballidu were guarded by the Ballidu VDC.
