The Tardun Hall has some historic significance as remaining built evidence of the settlement at Tardun. It has further value for its role in the social and recrealionallives of the local Tardun community. The building is typical of simple, unadorned community halls constructed in rural areas in that era.
Located on the eastern side of the railway and set back off Railway Parade, this simple rectangular hall is sited side on the the street. Sitting on brick stumps, this timber framed building is clad with corrugated iron sheeting to the walls and to the gable roof. There is a lean-to to the northern end. The building has 3 double timber doors while the windows are aluminium framed. There is a small brick ablution block to the rear (east).
Following the opening of the Wongan Hills railway to Mullewa in March 1915, the Tardun district developed rapidly. Much of the surrounding land was settled and the resulting local community set about fund raising for the construction of a hall which became the centre of local recreational activities.
