An application was first made for Reserve 2909 by Rev RH Moore for land for a church in 1906. This site is approved in 1907 by the Minister for Lands. in 1920, the Diocesan Secretary saw lot 65,66 or 67(corner block) as more appropriate for a church to USL. USL does not approve.
In 1922, Norman L Hodgson (Meckering Roads Board) applies to USL for lot 65 & 66 and the church applies for Lot 67. This is approved by USL even though only one lot can be granted and the Catholic Church had been granted two lots and purchased a third. This was granted as a 999 year lease.
