Statement of Significance

Historic - one of the many boarding houses that operated within the townsite of Gnowangerup.
Aesthetic - a large colonial type house which has been a part of the Gnowangerup streetscape since 1918.
Social - a room in the front of the house was used as a Doctor's consulting room.

Physical Description

This house is located on the corner of Denny and Aylmore Streets. Gnowangerup. It was used as a
boarding house in the late 1920s and early 1930s. In later years the building was used as the doctor's
residence and one room in the front of the house was used as his surgery.
