Highly important as an illustration of early improvisation by an early settler, typical of many early colonists houses.
A farmhouse of improvised timber slab and wattle and daub construction. Wattle and daub are nailed and plastered onto both sides of the slab walls. Built by James Rogers, a servant discharged from the ill-fated Australind settlement in circa 1860
