Example of a limestone house constructed circa 1920's - now in deteriorated state.
Historic significance for its representativeness of early sucessful farming venture on the shores of
Lake Mariginiup.
Social significance for its contribution to the community's sense of place.
Physical Description
Single storey, limestone house with iron roof tall brick chimney. Timber framed doors and windows.
Brick garage to eastern side. Rear of the house overlooks Lake Mariginiup to the north.
History
Constructed in c1920s, house lived in until 1960 by the Rocca family (from 1940). Home of
prosperous rope maker.
