House, 46 Fifth Avenue, is a single storey timber and iron house dating from the 1930s. The place has aesthetic value for its contribution to the streetscape and the surrounding area. It is representative of the typical building stock located within the residential areas of Beaconsfield. It is historically significant as a representation of typical workers' houses in the Fremantle area. The place is an example of the Federation Bungalow style of architecture.
Single storey weatherboard to dado height and fibrous sheeting above and a corrugated iron hipped roof. The roof extends over the verandah, which is supported by turned timber posts and brackets.
This lot (24 CSL 67) is recorded as being vacant in 1918/19. A residence is recorded on this lot 1930. (Fremantle Rate Book records).
