Statement of Significance

Like the Catholic Church, St Davids was built during the hard times of the Depression years. Both churches were dedicated in 1933 ;and again both were built on to during the same period in the 1960s. The church is constructed from the same stone as the Catholic Church. It is a good example of a small Anglican Country Church.

Physical Description

The church sits on a spacious corner site, behind pine trees. The building is unpretentious with a simple rectilinear plan form; windows are generally small, of vertical proportion, arched.
Behind the alter there is a taller stained glass window. The nave of the church is spanned by timber trusses.
There is a foundation stone with the following inscription:
A.M.D.G. This stone was laid by The Ven. C. Riley. MA. M. S., OBE.
Archdeacon ofNortham The 19th Day of March, 1933.
