The place demonstrates a way of life associated with education
and early settlers.
Typical c1950s school Timber framed, elevated from the ground on timber
stumps, clad with fibro-cement with a weatherboard dado, and a corrugated iron roof.
The original school on the site was built in 1932. After an
addition was made to the school in 1948, it became redundant, and the Parents and Citizens
Association applied to the Education Department to make it a craft room. With the Education
Department policy of centralised schools, Ted Cowling introduced a bus run in 1949. In 1964, a
second classroom and office were added, and in 1972 the original school room was converted
into a library.
