The place commemorates a way of life for the Buntine community. It is significant in the townscape of Buntine.
The Buntine Hall is a large brick building with two small anterooms used for church services and storage facilities. The Hall space is large with a stage. Attached is a supper room with kitchen facilities, used by other community groups for refreshments and shade in Summer months.
The Buntine Hall has provided a social focus for the Buntine community, providing a venue for social gatherings, cabarets, meetings and church services. The hall was also used as a venue for kindergarten which it first started in 1968, until 1970 when it moved to a railway house and later the school.
