This single storey painted brick and iron bungalow, in the
Federation Queen Anne cum Federation Free Classical style,
has cultural significance because:
it is an attractive bungalow from the first decade of
the twentieth century, which is part of a group of
three neighbouring properties, built at the same
period;
it is a comparatively rare example of a blended style
of Federation Queen Anne cum Federation Free
Classical;
it is part of a townscape area.
The place is an attractive example of a bungalow set on an
elevated site above a terraced front garden. The substantial
additions intrude.
Numbers 28, 30 and 32 Irvine Street were all built in the
first decade of the twentieth century and form a group.
Some historical significance.
The place is basically a Federation Queen Anne bungalow
with a verandah having columns and bressemer details in a
Federation Free Classical style.
The place is part of a cultural group.
The place is within a townscape area.
