Rylington Park Institute is socially and scientifically significant. Socially it represents the committment of the local community to agricultural research. Scientifically it is significant for it's contribution to the agricultural industry in the region.
Rylington Park consists of a homestead, two large shearing sheds and other outbuildings.
Rylington Park was originally owned by Mr Eric Farleigh and was donated to the Shire in 1985, to facilitate agricultural research and training. Rylington Park Institute opened in 1987 and in 1988, won the National Award for Innovation in Local Government.
