The place is a good example of a community building in the Inter War Functionalist style in Fremantle and has social and spiritual significance for members of the Christian Science Church.
Single storey brick and terracotta tiled hipped roof church, the front entrance has curved wall with a rendered parapet.
The Church was built in 1940 and the owner of the property was Joyce Bros (WA) Ltd. The property was described as a meeting hall. It became a church in the early 1960's. (History Files, Fremantle Local History Collection)
