Statement of Significance

This mine produced the first Western Australian commercial export of iron ore and had a significant socio-economic impact on the town of Morawa during the 1960s.

Physical Description

Open cut mine in bush setting. There are roads to the base of pit, where there is water and to the top, where there are good views of the surrounding district.
