Statement of Significance

The old Shire Hall forms a integral and vital link to the historical setting of the Port Town of Wyndham. It is a significant part of the heritage walk in the historical precinct.

Physical Description

The building is located at the beginning of O'Donnell Street on the western side of the main street. It is a fibro building with a slightly gabled roof, and a skillion roofed verandah supported by metal poles. The tennis court, which is no longer in use, serves as a parking area for vehicles. The main building is now used as an art gallery. Well presented and fairly well kept, the old Shire building is the first step for the heritage walk through the old Port Town.
