Mingenew Cemetery - Location of graves from 1903 to the present. Most graves marked with headstones.
In the early 1930's the Council Burial Register started to contain details about the person buried, their place in the community, their cause of death etc. It makes for very interesting reading and tells of the people of Mingenew and how lifestyles have changed over the years. For example, of the first eleven burials, six were infants or children, whereas in 1995, the last eleven burials, none were children, showing the improvements in medicine.
Integrity: Headstones.
Modifications: Pipe and steel fence surrounding site.
