STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
No 95 and 97 Hubble Street is a pair of single storey houses constructed in rendered masonry with a corrugated iron roof. The place has historic and aesthetic value with its contribution to Plympton's high concentration of worker’s cottages and associated buildings. It contributes to the local community’s sense of place.
The place has some heritage value for its intrinsic aesthetic value as a modified Federation Bungalow and it retains a moderate to low degree of authenticity and a high degree of integrity.
The rear additions have no significance.

Cottage W/ Georgian Influences
No 95 and 97 Hubble Street is a pair of single storey houses constructed in rendered masonry with a hipped corrugated iron roof and a tiled roof verandah. The place is a pair of houses in the Federation Bungalow that have been adapted in the Post-World War II era. It is symmetrically planned with a full width skillion roofed verandah supported on concrete columns and masonry pier. The piers are linked by a rendered balustrade wall. Both entry doors are offset equally from the centre of the place. The doors are flanked by a set of three casement windows. Almost all the openings have been adapted.
There are additions to the rear.
The place is consistent with the pattern of development in Plympton and plays an important role in the pattern of development of a working class suburb.
Historic Theme: Demographic Settlement
Plympton is a cohesive precinct where most of the places were constructed in the late nineteenth century and the first quarter of the twentieth century. It is comprised primarily of homes for workers and their families with a high concentration of small lots with timber, brick and stone cottages.
The place was built as a pair of attached cottages but appear to be used as a single residence.
