The place represents the development of postal services in Watheroo.
The red face brick construction has a wide gale frontage with a central entry door and aluminium framed sliding windows each side.
The existing post office occupies the site of the first purpose built Watheroo Post office and an SP betting shop at one stage. The post office was originally situated at the railway station and operated by the Stationmaster.
