The Old Sound Road was the first overland link between the two settlements of the Swan River
Colony - Perth and Albany. This site is one of two that remain to give visible evidence of that
route.
Located on Jennamartin Creek just below (5 metres) the Jenhamartin Rock. Rocks that have been
placed on the edge of the gully to prevent bogging of horse and wagons are clearly visible. In the
adjacent cleared paddock the indentation of the old track is still apparent.
