This is one of a number of houses in this street which are of heritage value in a heritage precinct.
The glass is particulady good. Similar vintage to the house next door at no 1. Both were part of the post
WW1 boom. Together they contnbute to a fine streetscape in a heritage precinct.
Removed from the list by Council on the 23 February 2004.
Interwar bungalow c1922 which has a speading gable to the front, half-timbered with pebbledash in
between. Squared off tapered brackets decorate this. Groups of three columns on small brick piers
support the verandah. There is a bnck balustrade in between. The stained glass windows - a pair in the
centre and two side lights with small mullions above - to the main front room on the left. The central
room has the same square leaded lights with the delicate insert of stained glass in a geometric Art
Nouveau pattern. The right hand section of the verandah has been enclosed as a room at a later date
and has an unsympathetic steel awning and flyscreens. Set high with a rising set of stairs from lawns to
verandah.
Nellie Leunig owned this in 1922.
