This well arranged and attractive looking building was built in 1895 by J J Talbot Hobbs. The two storey brick residence faces Hay Street and has two gables which are filled with vertical timbers and rough-cast. It has a gothic style entrance and verandahs on the front elevation. The building is constructed of red brick which has extensive tuck pointing. The roof, originally of corrugated iron, has been covered with Terra Cotta tiles.
