Statement of Significance

Interesting example of the Colonial style of architecture of the 1850's using local stone and with characteristic detail of the Dutch gable. Historically is an important educational landmark of the period, through which passed many boys who later played a prominent role in W.A. development. Restored and now in use for Perth Institute of Film and Television.

Physical Description

Built of the local limestone in Colonial Gothic style with Dutch gables. Later additions have retained this character. The building is constructed of stone with a tiled roof. It is single storeyed and features Dutch gables. There is a stuccoed entrance porch and brick chimneys.
