The house has some historic significance for its association with communications in the town. In addition, it contributes to the townscape of Wiluna because of its unusual roof form.
The symmetrically designed house is timber framed and clad with asbestos. The hip and gable corrugated iron roof has a decorative gabled end to the front elevation. It features a verandah to the front (north) elevation which has recently been enclosed at the corners. The house is surrounded by a high wire fence and the garden has large aloe plants.
The house is said to have operated as the town's post office for a number of years.
