Statement of Significance

Historic - started as a small school near the Borden Siding, then the siding developed into a township
and the school has operated off and on ever since.
Social- used for school meetings etc.

Physical Description

The first classroom was a timber structure.

History

The Borden Primary School has operated since 20th July. 1935. Miss Rubv Bilston was the first teacher
residence. The school closed in 1945 due to insufficient numbers but was re-opened in1950. In
1952 the school was large enough to employ two teachers. This school is still operating.
