History
House, 9 Harvest Road was constructed c.1894 for John Leighton, who owned and occupied the place until 1914. Andrew Kelly then lived at the place until the 1940s, followed by Mrs E. Kelly. A 1939 Sewerage Plan shows a brick house, with verandahs front and back, in the same location at 9 Harvest Road as that of the structure shown on an 1897 map. This residence does not appear on a 1980 plan.
This place was included in the 'North Fremantle Heritage Study' (1994) as a place contributing to the development and heritage of North Fremantle.
