The site is significant on the following grounds: HISTORIC:
1. The first sheep dip in the Highbury district.
(John Warren took up Location 2289 in 1903).
Built in approximately 1903 by John and William Warren on a granite rock, the dip was built at the lower eastern edge of the flat rock and it was flanked by two low rock walls which guided the dipping fluid back into the dip as it drained from the sheep which were held in a holding yard of bush timber on the rock above the dip.
