Statement of Significance
The shop has historic and social significance as an early shop in the main street of town which has a high level of authentic fabric and its original design still evident despite the modified entry. It contributes aesthetically to the streetscape in the main commercial hub of town.
Physical Description
Brick and iron combined shop and residence, with the shop being an L shape with a projecting wing to the street and a large window and a gable roof hidden behind a simple stepped brick parapet. The other section has a hipped roof, which may have been the original residence but now provides the entry to the shop.
