The Mullewa Swimming Pool has considerable social and historic significance to the local community for the
important role it has played in the sporting and recreational activities of the townspeople since the early 1960s.
The main entrance to the Mullewa Swimming Pool Complex is off Jose Street. via an amenity building which
leads into a large fenced and lawned area containing the main pool and toddler wading pool. There are shade
sails over the toddler pool and play equipment adjacent on the lawned area. The amenity building has a flat
metal deck roof and brick walls which have been clad with sheeting and painted in late 2011 to obscure all the
face brickwork.
The Mullewa Swimming Pool Complex was officially opened on 9 February 1963 by the Hon David Brand
MLA, Premier and Member for Greenough. In late 2011 the brick amenity building was clad with sheeting and
painted as pat of a general refurbishment of the place.
