Statement of Significance

The Kojonup Fire Station has some significance to the history of Kojonup, being representative of the need for substantial regional communities such as Kojonup to have a dedicated fire station with fire being an ongoing threat to the town and farmlands. The building is therefore worth noting for community interest but otherwise makes little contribution.

Physical Description

The fire station building is constructed of common cream brick, l-shaped with a projecting garage and residence set back. Each section has a low-pitch tiled hipped roof. It is a vernacular style and domestic in scale.

The Fire Station was built in 1962.
