The place is representative of a way of life.
Timber framed and clad with fibro cement with a weatherboard dado. The corrugated iron roof is hipped, and extends over the front and back verandahs which have since been partially enclosed.
Fred Jensen's family came from Denmark via England in 1908 and took up land in Tincurrin (Dorakin- Shire of Wickepin). Fred took up land in East Pingaring in 1937 and established a bush shed where he lived for a number of years before marrying and continuing to live there until this place was built on another section of his land which he developed over the years. Fred's track to his settlement was made by rock siting, and many years later the surveyor's confirmed the existing track which subsequently became an extension of Commonwealth Rd.
In 1946 Fred started the mail tender in the district, and continued until his retirement in 1987.
