Mudbrick and render cottage with fibro and horse hair plaster board, corrugated iron roof, wooden floors. Originally two rooms of mudbrick with additional two rooms behind, including kitchen.
Six pane double hung windows without counter-weights. Rear and side verandahs filled in with corrugated iron and fibro.
This building is situated across from the former hotel and near the railway station. For many years it was occupied by Irwin and Vera Looke. Its roof was lost in the 1979 cyclone. It was condemned, but the new owners are restoring it gradually.
Integrity: The building maintains its original form but with verandah infill.
