George Charleton's house is one of the earliest residences existing in the centre of town. It portrays historic and aesthetic values within the town of Boddington.
The residence has rammed earthed walls, corrugated iron
roofing and timber suspension.
George Charlton was a brother of Jack from the Wandering Post Office and was relocated to the Hewson's on Bannister Road. He spent most of his life working for Main Roads on the Albany Highway and the Wandering Roads Board.
George Charlton was one of the first permanent residents in the town of Boddington. He built his house for him and his family in the late 1940's whilst working for the Marradong Roads Board.
