Statement of Significance

St Aidan's has some historic and social value as the gathering place for the Anglican community of Byford.

Physical Description

Bungalow in style with low pitched gable roof, small skillion porch and exposed footings.

History

St Aidan's Church opened on 7th February 1960. The building was originally the mess hall for the Catalina base at Crawley and was purchased by the church and relocated to its present location in Byford. (The building would have been constructed during Second World War.)
