Statement of Significance

One of a group of four limestone cottages, attractive, well maintained and relatively intact. The major significance is as part of a set. This site demonstrates past architectural styles and planning practices.

Physical Description

One of a set of four matching cottages. Limestone walls, brick quoins to corners, front door and windows. No. 16 has a tiled roof, the others have corrugated metal roofs. Front verandahs with turned timber verandah posts. Matching awnings to front windows, matching chimneys, matching doorways except no. 18 which has been altered, many other matching or similar details. Some minor additions to the rear of these cottages. Streetscape of older homes, close to Anglican church precinct.

Integrity/Authenticity

Two storey limestone extension at rear. Re-modelled kitchen. 1970s fireplace in lounge. Front window replaced.
