Statement of Significance

This type of system is significant to the area when surveying was done in the mid 1880's due to their elevation and gave accuracy of distance when maps were being prepared.

Physical Description

Elachbutting Rock is a spectacular rock within itslef and its similarity to Wave Rock at Hyden with its natural wave formation. It is located in the North of the shire. The Trig point at the summit of the rock and the cairn of rocks around the stake is very small.

H.S. King went through this area in 1889 and marked this site HK93.
