Social value: The site is important for its role as a local recreation place and river crossing point.
The bridge provided the highest river crossing in the district and was at times the only available crossing point during floods. The site has also been a popular site for picnics and duckshooting. The Oiginal bridge was demolished in 1985,as it was too low, and a new bridge constiucted.
Named after the inscription 'T5' blazed on a tree at the bridge,
