Statement of Significance

The place, for its building form and architectural characteristics, makes a positive contribution to the Guildford Road streetscape. This place is representative of early development within Mount
Lawley and is an unusual form of development for the area.

Physical Description

Eight purpose designed flats with a rendered facade facing Guildford Road. It has small verandah lead lighting and sun hoods over important windows. It has two storey brick walls, a smooth render finish and a timber framed tiled roof.

History

An imposing large scale multi-residence structure with high aesthetic values that contribute to the streetscape. It is amongst one of the few early apartment buildings of the period in the district and rare on the south side of the railway.
