The police station is a fine example of the architecture of its era, having historic and aesthetic value. It has social and historic value linked to it's past and present use, indicating Roebourne's early regional importance in an administrative and social sense. The police station also incorporated the Protector of Aborigines Court. Is is still sometimes used for remand hearings. The precinct as a whole explores the social values of the era.
This notable public building is set in the Historic Law and Order Precinct of Roebourne (adjacent to the gaol, courthouse etc).
