A substantial house by one of Perth's innovative architectural 'rebels' [Noel Klopper] that sits comfortably
in the context of Cottesloe and reinterprets Federation Filigree in a clever way.
This 1990s house is constructed of ashlar limestone with face brick sills and string courses. The roofs are
steeply pitched zincalume with timber finials. The west verandah features a two storey belvedere with a
faceted conical roof. The verandah valances and balustrades are in timber filagree. The house defies
convention but draws on many Federation Filigree elements to create an innovative look back at the
Filigree Style. All windows are powder coated aluminium. The large limestone garden wall at the
boundary is somewhat out of kilter in contrast with the lightness of touch on the main house.
