Statement of Significance

This place is one of a large number of important heritage buildings in Vancouver Street. Vancouver Street is one of the City of Albany's significant Local Heritage Areas in the City of Albany. This well kept house from the Late Victorian/Early Federation period has the symmetry influenced by Regency design.

Symmetrical façade with a central front door
Painted brick construction 􀂱 once tuckpointed
Double set of windows on either side of door
Timber framed double hung sash windows
Hipped asbestos roof
Verandah across front elevation under separate roof
Timber verandah posts and decorative balustrading
Two tall chimneys symmetrically located on either side of the centre pitch of the roof
