The Railway Bridge has historic significance for its association with the operations of the railway in the town. Together with the Station Master's House [Place No. 15], the Railway Workers' Houses [Place No. 16], railway platform [Place No. 18] and the railway dam [Place No. 17], the Railway Bridge assists with the interpretation of local railway heritage and history.
Located near the Railway Dam, this bridge is constructed of stone with concrete supports and solid timber beams. The remains of the railway track lie on top.
The railway line reached Mt Magnet in 1896. The Meekatharra-Mullewa line closed in 1978. [Drawn to Mt Magnet, p224]
