Meekatharra War Memorial Swimming Pool is a significant place of recreational activities in an isolated regional town and demonstrates a sense of place for many events that have taken place. Associated with the commemoration of World War Two, and later the Vietnam War, the place holds particular meaning.
The entry building is a single storey face brick pavilion structure with horizontal emphasis. The building is set back from the street with a grassed area.
In 1949, town lots 48, 49, 50, 739 and 743 were combined as Lot 840 and gazetted Reserve 22974 for the purpose of swimming pool, park and gardens. A small plaque inside the building is inscribed with the names of men who served in World War Two and Vietnam.
